Gausiai susirinkusiems klausytojams geros mokyklos viziją pristatė svečias iš Didžiosios Britanijos - tarptautinės švietimo konsultacijų kompanijos „Bryanston Square Consulting“ įkūrėjas ir vadovas Marcus Orlovsky. Lektorius teigė,
kad dabartinis mokinių skirstymas pagal gaunamus balus yra neteisingas, o žmonės turėtų orientuotis ne tik į egzaminų rezultatus, bet ir į vidines savybes.
Dvi valandas trukęs susitikimas anglų kalba dar kartą patvirtino, kad mokykloje ugdymo procese
turime skatinti vaikus mąstyti kūrybiškai.

My impressions about lecture “What is a good school”
The biggest impression in this lecture made the lecturer himself. I was stunned by his public speaking skills, good sense of humor and the way he gave the facts to the audience. His capability to communicate with the audience was outstanding. His slides and material was prepared perfectly and it was very interesting and understandable. The lecturer gave us new understanding about how ineffective the nowadays students evaluation is. He shared his opinion about how important is students creativity is. But one big minus in his lecture was that he didn’t really explained what schools should do to help students to express them self’s and show their good inherent characteristics.

My impressions after the presentation was great. It was unusual and
interesting presentation, because Marcus Orlovsky talked in interesting way and showed some great examples. After this presentation I changed my opinion about good school, now I know how should be if you want to teach students and get great results. My impressions about the lecture is quite good. I enjoyed the lecture, I think that I can agree with lecturer for essential modern educational system. It often happens in life, that nerds students who always get good grades later in life reach less than students who received worse grades. Grades often distort the reality. Future depends off you and you should attempt by yourself to reach the top. Simonas
In Vilnius on October 8th we attended a lecture in English, which theme was "What is a good school?" The lecture led an extraordinary guest from Great Britain - lecturer Marcus Orlovsky. The lecturer left me a very good impression, because he is very smart and interesting person, who know how to interest people and force them to think. I really enjoyed his lecture on the current assessment of students. He willingly and emotionally told stories and shared his thoughts. I think he is a very good example for many of us. He says that the current distribution of students by grades is wrong and that people should be oriented to not only the results, but also the internal characteristics. I totally agree with his opinion, and I think that the results not always show a real human knowledge and skills. In addition, the high quality of the result depends on the teacher. So, a good school is where student have a motivation to study, have good relationships with teachers and friends and don't feel stress.

This year, in 8th October I was participating in lecture-discussion about what is a good school. The British Marcus Orlovsky was presenting what we have to do that school would be better.
I really like this lecture, it show me what is a good lecturer and how we can improve our schools.
Also I was surprised because of him character. It was not only lecture it was like a game, all the viewers were amazed of his jokes and they laughed together.
The next reason why this discussion was so good - it is sincerity and simplicity. Marcus knows how to tell the information from audience that it will be interesting and memorable.
In conclusion, it was the most interesting lecture that I have ever attend. Arnis

He knows how to attract representatives of all ages since the first minute when he start to talk. He is applying modern teaching tools, always takes examples. He shows pictures, video, which corresponds to his speech. Time passed quickly when we were listening to him. M. Orlovsky explained his opinion about good school. From his point of view, a good school is place, where students have a motivation and don‘t feel stress. I agree with him. I think in this way students should make progress. Deimante

What is a good school?
There are some things which make school a good one. It is important to say that every student has his own opinion.
To my mind, firstly only good teachers who are professionals in teaching and know how to teach well work in good school. They must be good at communicating with students and show them the right way. Secondly, a very important thing is a variety of activities when every student can choose his favourite occupation according to his wishes and possibilities. One more advantage which makes school better than others is tasty and healthy food. It is inevitable because children are very active and they need lots of energy not only in doing sport but for studying as well.
In conclusion, I have to say that student must feel safe and sound at school because it is second home for him. Alvita
